4 Everdeck® composite decking requires 21 plastic decking clips per square metre. To calculate your total quantity, multiply your deck area in square metres by 21.

How do the plastic decking clips work?

Each clip slots into the pre-machined groove on the side of the 4 Everdeck® composite decking board. The clip is then fixed to the joist using a screw through the clip body, holding the board in place while automatically setting the correct board spacing. The next board is then slotted in from the other side of the clip.

What board spacing do these clips create?

The 4 Everdeck® plastic decking clip creates a consistent gap of 4–5 mm between adjacent decking boards, which allows for drainage and thermal expansion.

Do I still need screws with these clips?

Yes. The clips themselves are fixed to the joist substructure using screws — however, no screws are driven through the face of the decking boards. We recommend pairing these clips with our stainless steel decking fixing screws.

Are these clips compatible with all composite decking boards?
