Yes — the handle includes 2 RFID tags. Additional RFID tags can be programmed up to a maximum of 200 users.
What is the difference between the BBL Smart Handle and the BBL Smart Deadbolt?
The Smart Handle replaces your lever handle and integrates the latch mechanism directly — it operates both the latch and the lock in one unit. The Smart Deadbolt is a standalone deadbolt lock that is used in addition to a separate handle. The Smart Handle is typically used on passage and entrance doors; the Smart Deadbolt is used where a separate deadbolt is required alongside an existing handle.
Are escutcheons included?
No — escutcheons are sold separately. Please contact us or browse our hardware range for compatible escutcheon options.
Do I need WiFi to use this lock?
No — the handle operates fully via fingerprint, PIN, RFID, Bluetooth, voice command, and mechanical key without WiFi. WiFi remote access requires an optional gateway, sold separately.
What happens if the battery dies?
The handle has a USB emergency power port — connect a power bank to temporarily power the unit and gain entry. A mechanical key backup is also included for emergencies.
Is this handle suitable for exterior doors?
Yes — the BBL Smart Handle has an IP55 waterproof rating, making it suitable for covered or sheltered exterior door installations. It is not recommended for fully exposed, unprotected outdoor environments.
