Upgrade your timber sliding doors with the 913B/B Heavy Duty Solid Brass Roller.
Engineered for durability and smooth operation, this premium roller is designed specifically for heavy-set timber doors in both internal and external environments. The solid brass construction ensures long-lasting performance and resistance to corrosion, making it an ideal choice for high-traffic areas.
Ordering Note: These rollers are sold individually. For standard operation, two rollers are required per door.
Two rollers are required per door panel for standard operation. The 913B/B is sold individually, so you will need to order a quantity of two for each door. For a double sliding door system (two panels), you will need four rollers in total.
The 913B/B is designed for use with standard timber sliding door track systems where the roller is mortised into the base of the door. It is compatible with most South African timber sliding door track profiles. If you are unsure whether this roller is compatible with your existing track, please contact us with your track dimensions before ordering.
Solid brass rollers offer significantly better durability, load capacity, and longevity compared to nylon alternatives. Brass wheels provide a quieter, smoother glide, resist wear over time, and perform reliably in both internal and external environments including coastal and high-humidity areas. Nylon rollers are lighter and lower cost but are more prone to cracking, wear, and noise under heavy loads. For solid timber doors or high-traffic applications, brass is the preferred choice.
Yes. The solid brass construction makes the 913B/B inherently resistant to corrosion, making it suitable for external patio doors, balcony doors, and other outdoor-facing sliding door systems. It performs reliably in South African coastal and inland climates. For exposed marine environments, periodic lubrication is recommended to maintain smooth operation.
The 913B/B is a mortise-fit bottom roller — it is installed by routing or mortising a recess into the base of the timber door frame to accept the roller housing. The door panel then sits on the roller, which runs along the floor track. Installation requires basic carpentry tools and skills. We recommend engaging a qualified carpenter or door installer if you are replacing existing rollers or fitting a new sliding door system.
Lead time is 3–4 days from order confirmation. Nationwide delivery is available across South Africa.
