No floor track is required — the track mounts above the doorway opening for a clean, minimalist finish.
How Does a Barn Door Work?
A barn door slides horizontally along a wall-mounted track rather than swinging open on hinges. This makes it an excellent space-saving solution in rooms where a swing door would obstruct furniture, walkways, or adjacent doors. The door hangs from rollers that run along the top track, with a bottom guide engaging a U-channel in the base of the door to keep it aligned. Installation requires a solid wall section alongside the opening that is at least as wide as the door itself.
