Solid lengths of steel are encased within each cottage pane bar, and the bars are fixed to the frame — not the sash — so the window remains secure even when open.
The steel bars continue uninterrupted from the fixed sublight below through into the opening sash above — the security grid is unbroken across the full 1775mm height of the window.
