The bars are drilled into the Meranti frame at the top, bottom and sides — the frame is pre-drilled and assembled around the guard during manufacture. The guard is permanently fixed to the frame and remains in place when the windows are opened.

Does the burglar guard cover the fixed centre panes?

No. The burglar guard is fitted to the two opening casements only. The fixed centre panes are secured by the fixed frame and do not have a burglar guard.

What type of hinges are fitted?

Easy-clean yellow passivated mild steel hinges are fitted as standard — corrosion-resistant and low maintenance.
