What does top-hung mean?

Is glass included?

No. The BE4 is supplied without glass. Glazing is carried out by your installer or glazier after installation.

What is the burglar guard made of and how is it fitted?

The burglar guard consists of 10mm square mild steel bars with a decorative twist on the vertical bars. The bars are drilled into the Meranti frame at the top, bottom and sides — the frame is pre-drilled and assembled around the guard during manufacture. The guard is permanently fixed to the frame and remains in place when the windows are opened.

Does the burglar guard cover the fixed centre pane?

No. The burglar guard is fitted to the two opening casements only. The fixed centre pane is secured by the fixed frame and does not have a burglar guard.

What type of hinges are fitted?

Easy-clean yellow passivated mild steel hinges are fitted as standard — corrosion-resistant and low maintenance.

What handles are included?

Solid brass handles are included as standard.
